Radiology Workflow Without Paper or Re-typing

The Pacslink Radiology Information System (RIS) manages everything around the images: orders, patient scheduling, modality worklists, radiologist reporting and radiology billing. It is accessed in the browser, so multi-branch diagnostic chains and hospitals can work from one system across sites.

Our team is based in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, so hospitals and diagnostic centers in Lahore and across Punjab get local implementation, staff training and on-site support, alongside integration with Pacslink PACS and your existing HMIS over HL7.

Key Capabilities

  • Scheduling & registration: Book patients on the right modality and time slot, with registration details captured once.
  • DICOM modality worklist: Each CT, MRI or X-ray machine shows the correct patient and exam automatically, with no manual entry at the console.
  • Radiology reporting: Radiologists report against the study and sign off, with reports linked to the images in PACS.
  • Radiology billing: Charges follow the exam from order to report, so billing matches the work actually performed.
  • HL7 integration: Receives orders from your HMIS or EMR and returns signed reports to the patient record over HL7 v2.
  • Cloud access: A cloud RIS lets branches, radiologists and management work in one system from any site.

From Order to Signed Report

  1. Order: The scan is ordered in the HMIS or booked at radiology reception and appears in the RIS.
  2. Worklist: The RIS publishes a DICOM modality worklist, so the machine picks up the correct patient.
  3. Report: After the scan, the radiologist reads the study in PACS and reports in the RIS.
  4. Deliver: The signed report goes back to the HMIS / EMR and the referring doctor.

Standards & Integration

  • DICOM 3.0: The RIS publishes a DICOM 3.0 modality worklist, so CT, MRI and X-ray machines pick up the right patient without re-typing.
  • Bi-directional HL7 (Orders In, Signed Reports Out): Orders arrive from your HMIS over HL7, and signed radiology reports go back to the HMIS or EMR as HL7 results.

The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) licenses healthcare establishments, not software: Pacslink features support the records a facility keeps for its licence.
