Scope
This policy covers patient data processed by Pacslink PACS, RIS, teleradiology, HMIS, EMR, LIS and the patient portal, and the personal data visitors submit through this website.
Access Control and Audit Trails
- Every user signs in with their own account; access is granted by role, so staff only see the studies and records their work requires.
- Audit trails record who viewed or changed each study.
- Patients and referring physicians using the patient portal can only see their own reports and images.
- Teleradiology studies are only available to the radiologists assigned to read them and authorised staff.
Data in Transit
Studies routed between sites, the cloud and reporting radiologists travel over encrypted connections, and the web viewer and portal are accessed over HTTPS.

Backups and Recovery
Patient imaging data is backed up regularly, and backup and recovery arrangements are documented for each deployment, so studies can be restored after hardware failure or other incidents. Retention periods follow your facility's policies and are agreed during implementation.
Data Ownership and Privacy
- Patient data belongs to the healthcare facility. Pacslink processes it only to provide, support and maintain the services the facility has contracted.
- Pacslink does not sell patient data or use it for advertising.
- Support staff access a facility's system only as needed to resolve the facility's support requests or maintain the service.
- At the end of a contract, the facility's data is returned or handed over in standard formats (DICOM for images) as agreed in the contract.
Website Privacy
When you submit a contact, demo or ROI form on this website, the details you enter (such as your name, email address, phone number and message) are sent to the Pacslink team by email and used only to respond to your enquiry. This website uses essential session cookies to keep forms secure; it does not use them for advertising.
Reporting a Security Concern
If you believe you have found a security issue in a Pacslink system or this website, email info@pacslink.com.pk with the details. Please do not access or change data that does not belong to you while investigating.
